My math kahoot

Kia Ora, along with my math create on angles I have made a Kahoot about angles. A kahoot is a quiz website where you can create your own quizes about anything. Unfortunatly I am unable to link a kahoot in a way you can see the kahoot so I have screenshoted the questions and put them on a google slide which I can link. In my kahoot I did true or false questions as well as multi-choice questions. Here is my kahoot:

I also did three main points to use in a blog post the were, write what they need to improve on and what they did good, answer their question and write a question. Here is my google drawing:

Reading board game

Kia Ora, today I will be showing you my reading board game my board game was about a growth mindset and a fixed mindset I did it on paper and on a google drawing. How it works is you roll the dice and go forward how many spaces it tells you then see what you landed on because each of them have a symbol on them, the symbols on them are hearts, stars and swirls each one has a meaning heart means,  you have a good growth mindset and didn’t give up when you wanted to. Roll again. Star means, you keep giving up and not trying. Skip your next turn. swirl means, you have a fixed mindset and don't believe in yourself. Go back 3 squares. Here is my board game:
I really hope you like it. Have you ever made a board game?

My persausive text on why schools should ban junk food

Kia Ora,

Recently for writing we have been learning how to write persausive texts this week our topic is should schools ban junk food? In this speech I am  for this. Here is my text:

Have you ever felt tired in class or just don't have energy? Well its proberly because you dont have enough nutrients in your lunch box to keep you through the day.  If you eat too much unheathy, sugary foods you'll get super hyper and can stay awake forever, right? Wrong you'll have alot of energy for a little bit then the opposite will happen, you'll be tired and out of energy, you won't be able to focus on your work and your teacher won't be happy but neither will you, think about it you might love playing sport with your friends at lunch time but you won't have enough energy so you'll have to watch. Just imagine if you accidentally gave it to someone that was allergic to it or wasn't allowed it  and its not just that but also you might get sick and junk food is not good for your health or your teeth. So next time you're packing your lunch and your about to put a packet of doritos or a cupcake swich it out for an apple or a wholemeal sandwhich.

Did I convince you that schools should ban junkfood?

Our Magaret Mahy trip

Kia ora,  a couple of weeks ago we went to Margaret Mahy playground to learn about māori designs and what they mean. On the trip we visited the Waka on Avon river, Victoria square, Margaret Mahy and we looked at the mats in the concrete. First I went on the waka which was my favourite part of the trip. We went on the waka on the Avon river. We got to learn how to row like the māori did and it was very fun, they also let us sing songs on the waka. Next was Victoria square which was really fun as well because we got to look at some pou and some statues. We also learnt alot about Victoria square. After that we got to see the carvings in the paving at Margaret Mahy and learn about what they mean. Lastly we went to feed the tuna/eel l and look at the mats in the concrete. That was fun as well even though i couldn't feed a tuna/eel.

Something I learnt was that after the 2011 earthquakes nobody felt safe in the city so nobody wanted to come anymore so they made a playground to bring people back together in town.

The thing I found the most interesting was when we looked at the concrete carvings at Margaret Mahy because I never knew that they etched a whole maori song and a part of one of Margaret Mahy books.

This trip has helped me with my PBL because it gave me some good ideas to do here at school and it also has taught me about things that are appropriate for certain designs.

Thank you for reading my blog. Have you ever been to margaret mahy?
